WEEK-LONG TRIPS
North Lake Tahoe, Nevada -- 5 night air trip
Sunday February 26 - Friday March 2, 2012
Enjoy the best of North Lake Tahoe on this short week trip that still avoids the President's day crowd and
pricing.
We are staying at the Hyatt - Incline Village Resort/Casino/Spa.
See: http://laketahoe.hyatt.com/hyatt/hotels/index.jsp for full details.
We leave Santa Barbara Sunday about 2 pm on charter bus to LAX, fly Southwest nonstop to Reno and hop
a charter bus for the 40 minute drive to Incline Village. No baggage fees on this trip. This is the
shortest travel time with no waiting or San Francisco mess. We are in Incline Village by 8 pm. You do not
need any other travel arrangements for this trip.
We spend 5 nights at the fabulous Hyatt Resort with full spa, casino, and resort atmosphere. We have full
hot cooked breakfast every morning. We are staying in hotel style rooms but all have refrigerator and
microwave.
We ski 5 days: two at Northstar, one at Squaw Valley, Alpine Meadows, and Mt Rose. Free shuttle busses
take us to the resorts every 30 minutes. We leave Reno Friday at 6:10 pm and get back to LAX at 7:35 pm
with direct charter bus back to Santa Barbara.
We will have some kind of hot tub fun every night and then off to dinner at one of the 5 restaurants at the
resort or many others in Incline Village, a very short walk or cab ride away. Then the Casino fun starts for
anyone interested.
I have 40 seats on the same flight and am going to limit air tickets to 40. Several may want to drive or get
their own air which is fine as I can get lodging. Let's fill this trip up.
Cost: $1,100 - includes airfare, 5 nights lodging, 5 days lift tickets, round trip bus to LAX, and all the fun you
can have. Single Room Supplement is available if requested for $410.
Payment Schedule:
$250 due by 10/1
$550 due by 11/1
$850 due by 12/1
$1100 due by 1/15
Refund Policy:
Once Airfare is purchased (November 1),
you own that ticket and are responsible for all charges associated
with transfer of name or any other changes.
Full refund of the land
package up to December 20 (45 days from trip) minus $25 fee to
travel agent.
No refund after December 20, 2010. We may be able to
switch names but expect a $150 airlines change fee.

NEW MAMMOTH LODGING DETAILS: In response to
requests for upgraded accommodations, we have moved a block down the
street to the Sierra Nevada Lodge. All of the rooms are newly
remodeled, and all have two queen beds, which means everybody will
have their own queen bed, and be in a room with only one other
person. So if you have somebody specific you would like to room
with, you should both sign up at the same time, to insure you will
room together. Otherwise, you will be assigned a room with our
choice for your roommate. There are five chalets with three
bedrooms, and the remainders are rooms with two beds each that share
a kitchenette. The first people to sign up have priority for the
chalets. You may also sign up with three friends, four total in
joining rooms that you wish to share a kitchenette with. If you do
not all sign up at the same time, rooms will be assigned as they are
filled. All of the rooms have free wi-fi, there are coffee makers in
all of the rooms, and there is a free continental breakfast every
day. In addition, there is a bar downstairs in the lobby with a
fireplace and lounge, a pool table, and a restaurant next door.

All Mammoth bus trips will leave either
Thursday or Friday, and return either Sunday or Monday evening
around 10:30 p.m. All trips allow you to ski three full days. We
leave at 3 pm from Earl Warren Show Grounds (Gate A or C). The cost
to park is $8 per car, so carpool if you can.
If you have any DVD's or videos that you
think people would enjoy watching on the bus, please bring them.
If you want to be picked up in Ventura, let
me know if you haven’t already done so. We will stop at the
Vons/Carrow’s parking lot off the Seaward exit at around
3:25pm Thursday or Friday if there are people who want to meet us
there.
We will stay at Sierra Nevada Lodge again, so
those who signed up to drive and join us in Mammoth should go there.
Call if you are driving and want riders to join you, or if you are
looking for someone who can drive you, and I will help you get
hooked up.
See you on the slopes!

Cancelation and Refunds:
The trip deposit remains at $100 per trip
per person. Trips must be paid in full (65), sixty five days before
the trip. Your deposit is refundable, less a $20 admin fee, if you
cancel in writing via e-mail to: mammothtrips@sbski.org
no less than 65 (sixty-five) days before the trip. This policy is
necessary, as we must cancel extra rooms sixty-five days prior to
each trip. We have reserved enough rooms to accommodate a full bus.
Adding people to a trip after the "sixty five days prior" point will
only be possible if there is room on the bus and more rooms are
available, or if someone cancels. If you discover that you cannot go
on a trip after the sixty-five day cancellation date, you will
forfeit your entire payment. You may not "sell" your position to
someone else. If we are able to fill the bus and all the rooms we
have reserved, and in addition, refill your space, we will be able
to reimburse most of your payment.
Late Sign-ups:
Late signups will be assigned to whatever
room has an opening, and particular roommates (other than same sex)
cannot be guaranteed at that point. Also, late signups may be
assigned to a different area of the lodge. The all-important
sixty-five day date, along with the e-mail address to cancel, will
be clearly marked in bold lettering on the official Mammoth Trips
flyer. You'll also receive at least one reminder one week prior to
the sixty-five day date.
Some of the Fine Print:
Alcohol/Drugs/Pets etc:
All persons on the trip MUST be current Ski
Club members. No drugs/pets/persons under 21 years old allowed.
Alcohol may be provided as part of a social mixer or hot tub party
but it will be limited to reasonable quantities. If you want to
drink more heavily, bring your own supply.
NO GLASS is allowed anywhere near the hot
tub area.
Parties:
There are informal parties both
ways on all bus trips and usually every night after skiing in the
hot tub area. These are social gatherings where it is fun to visit
with other club members and relax. Participation is encouraged but
by no means required.
We may schedule a “group pot luck
dinner” on Saturday night. Participation is encouraged but not
required. Each condo is assigned to bring specific food based on
expected participation.
Parking:
On bus trips, parking will be available for
a fee of $8 per vehicle. Vehicles left at Earl Warren are left at
your own risk. The Club does not assume any responsibility for
vehicles or their contents.
