WEEK-LONG TRIPS

Whistler British Columbia, Canada -- 6 night air trip

January 13 - 19, 2008

We will fly SBA to Vancouver and bus to Whistler. Accommodations are at the world-class five-star Four Seasons Resort. Average temperature in January is 29 degrees, and they usually get a couple feet of snow during this month. For those of you who haven't been, it is a must on every skier's list, with two mountains, five thousand feet of vertical, dozens of great restaurants, and shopping like you have never seen! The cost for this extravaganza is $1224, which will include a great wine and cheese party every night after skiing, a farewell dinner, and a pizza night. This is one of the premier places to ski in North America, so be sure to sign up early since spaces are limited.

For info contact: Dennis Dierenfield (805)965-3137

Deposit of $400 due 9/19/07; $400 due 10/17/07; and payment in full due 12/19/07

Crested Butte, Colorado -- 7 night air trip

February 23 - March 1, 2008

Crested Butte will be our second weeklong trip this year. This is an area the club has never visited previously. We will be staying at a very nice ski in ski out resort. Our flight will be from SBA to Gunnison, Colorado, leaving on Feb 23 and returning on March 1. The cost of this trip will be $1226, which will include a wine and cheese party every evening, a pizza party and a farewell dinner. Crested Butte is an old mining town, sort of like Telluride or Breckenridge, and has many quaint shops and some great restaurants. This is a chance to ski one of Colorado's best-kept secrets: DON'T MISS THIS ONE.

For info contact: Dennis Dierenfield (805)965-3137

Deposit of $400 due 9/19/07; $400 due 10/17/07; and payment in full due 12/19/07.

Snowbird/Alta, Utah -- 7 night air trip

March 15 - March 22, 2008

We'll be staying at the fabulous Cliff Lodge right at Snowbird (with its 7th floor bar and party spot and a reserved ticket to the fabulous St Paddy's day party). True Ski-in/Ski-out accommodations with a 6-day interchangeable lift ticket for Alta/Snowbird. It does not get any more fun! We will fly non-stop from Santa Barbara to Salt Lake, then get whisked up the mountain to our hideaway for the week. A welcome party greets us before we saunter across the lot and ski/board on some of the best Utah snow. There are 7 restaurants at Snowbird plus many more 2 miles up the road (free shuttle) at Alta. This is the way a ski vacation is supposed to be. This trip is limited to 32 people. Land portion is $900 plus the actual cost of air (we will get group travel and expect it to be about $420) for a total estimated cost of about $1350.

Some of the Fine Print:

Couples and Singles:

Couples are guaranteed a Queen or King bed in a private bedroom with adjoining bathroom. Singles will be sleeping in a room/loft with multiple twin beds. We make every effort to have every person comfortable but you will share a room/loft. (Same gender room guaranteed).

The Boss:

Each trip will have one trip "boss" and each condo will have one condo "boss".

The condo "boss" can assign all kinds of mean and evil duties such as doing dishes, taking out the trash, turning off the lights and lowering the heat, or being responsible for the keys. Don’t mess with the “boss”

Alcohol/Drugs/Pets etc:

All persons on the trip MUST be current Ski Club members. No drugs/pets/persons under 21 years old allowed. Alcohol may be provided as part of a social mixer or hot tub party but it will be limited to reasonable quantities. If you want to drink more heavily, bring your own supply.

NO GLASS is allowed anywhere near the hot tub area.

Parties:

There are informal parties both ways on all bus trips and usually every night after skiing in the hot tub area. These are social gatherings where it is fun to visit with other club members and relax. Participation is encouraged but by no means required.

We may schedule a “group pot luck dinner” on Saturday night. Participation is encouraged but not required. Each condo is assigned to bring specific food based on expected participation.

Parking:

On bus trips, parking will be available for a fee of $8 per vehicle. Vehicles left at Earl Warren are left at your own risk. The Club does not assume any responsibility for vehicles or their contents.

Key Deposit/Damages:

Condo occupants are responsible for this deposit. Condo occupants are responsible for all condo damages/losses incurred. Be careful and treat these units like they are your own property and you will generally be safe.

Current S. B. Ski & Sports Club membership
is required to sign up and participate in ski trips
